Christmas Backpacks for Children and Teens

Now in its eighth year, Christmas Backpacks is a joint ministry of Alabama WMU and the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions. Anyone is welcome to join the effort by purchasing and filling a backpack to help bring the Gospel to someone who may have never heard.

Christmas Backpacks are distributed through church plants and compassion ministry sites in at least four states.

Each backpack is filled with toys, hygiene items, art supplies, etc. along with the Gospel message. Opportunities are available to assist with backpack distribution, as well as to partner on an ongoing basis with ministry sites.

2023 Collection week is October 23 - October 28.
